I’m not as big of a wrestling fan as I used to be, but always start to watch again around Royal Rumble time. It’s the official start, at least in my eyes, of the “Road to WrestleMania.”
This year’s Rumble is going to be a really good one, and we might as well make some money on it while we are all watching.
CM Punk to win the Royal Rumble (-150)
This year’s Royal Rumble winner is going to be one one four wrestlers. It will either be CM Punk, John Cena, Roman Reigns, or The Rock. The Rock is an interesting choice, and could be entry 30 or even 31 (changing the rules, thus making himself a true heel) and win it. You can get The Rock at +400 at several books. Roman is another interesting choice. With Roman winning, it can set up a potential trilogy matchup against Cody. However, I think he’s facing The Rock at WrestleMania. I believe Rock will cost Roman the win, and will begin the build to WrestleMania. And I don’t think it will be Cena. Cena doesn’t need that main event stage at WrestleMania at this point in his career. I believe he will get his last title shot later this year, but it won’t be at Mania. It’s going to be CM Punk. After that in-ring segment on RAW between Cody and Punk, it’s a lock that Punk is winning.Brock Lesnar to enter Royal Rumble last (+250)
We already established that CM Punk is going to win the Royal Rumble. It’s also been established that Paul Heyman owes CM Punk a favor. They’ve been bringing up Brock Lesnar’s name up on WWE TV, and everything that is said on WWE TV has meaning. I believe Brock enters the rumble at 30, eliminates Roman, and then eliminates himself giving Punk the win.
