England shows that they're the same bunch of sorry saps they've always been in the 0-0 tie to the United States

Since 1776, the United States continues to own England in everything.

In 1776, George Washington and Co. fought the Revolutionary War against England and sent those sorry Brits back across “the pond” to Europe. And since then we’ve pretty much owned them in just about everything. War, basketball, football (actual football), the English language, and even soccer. Yes, it’s called soccer.

England, who claims they invented the game, has never beaten us in World Cup play. Our record is 1-0-2.

Am I upset about the tie? Absolutly! Pulisic hits the post, McKennie butchered a great look, but soccer is probably our ninth best sport raning just behind beer pong. The Brits claim the sport and are some of the most arrogant pricks in sports. And yet they didn’t beat us. Now we’re one win away from advancing to the round of 16!

The path is clear: beat Iran and advance to the next round. The ball is on your pitch, USA.
